Unravelling the life of celebrated Urdu poet Saadat Hasan Manto in her latest offering with earnestly has bagged Nandita Das a platform to voice her opinion on 'Truth' — an edition of innovative communication summit, Les Napoleons.
The event, set to be held in Arles, France from July 18 to 21, gathers influencers from the communications industry, culture, architecture and other fields, to debate on crucial issues. Given that Manto shed light on details that few were willing to discuss, the film will mark the talking point for Das, as she aims to make a point on the importance of truth in cinema. The actor-director tells mid-day she is set to participate in two sessions. The first, alongside Isabelle Hudon, Canada's Ambassador to France, will shed light on the role of women in society, while the second will be the closing key note address on 'Art & Truth.'
