'Rather voice my opinion on certain issues; can't be flagbearer for everything'

John Abraham is currently shooting for his film, Satyameva Jayate 2, and has a couple more films in his kitty, namely Mumbai Saga, Attack, and Pathan. It`s a busy start to the year for the actor, and he will also be making a cameo appearance in the film titled Sardar and Grandson.
In a candid chat with Hindustan Times, John Abraham opened up about why he thinks it`s important to speak up for issues one is passionate about, but how, at the same time, celebrities can`t act as flagbearers for every issue there is. He said, "As a celebrity, you can express yourself, you have got a platform, but you also must be prepared for the vitriol, negativity and toxicity that comes with it. If you are well prepared to take that, you must voice your opinion. On the other hand, there are issues close to my heart. There is no point in me voicing my opinion on every issue in the country."
