`OMG 2` and `Gadar 2` have been censored and modified after demands by the CBFC. The irony of the film releasing on Independence Day weekend is not dead on us

OMG 2 still, Gadar 2 still
“Nandi, mere bhakt par bahut badi vibhadha aane waali hai. Mere shiv gan mai se kisi aise ko lekar jau jo uske rakhsa kar sake (Nandi, me devotee will soon face a difficult time. Take someone from my clan and go to earth to help my devotee),” says an animated Lord Shiva to his bull, Nandi in the beginning of the trailer of OMG 2.
The trailer was unveiled three days after the film got its censor certificate after a lot of back and forth because of the sensitive subject the film deals with. Up until, the release of the trailer, it was a given that Akshay Kumar played the role of Lord Shiva in the movie who comes down to Earth to help his devotee. This is similar to its prequel where Akshay Kumar as Lord Krishna comes to the aide of atheist Kanjilala (Paresh Rawal). But with the trailer, the makers have made it clear that Akshay Kumar is not the Lord himself but his messenger.
