This too shall pass, says Shamita

Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s sister Shamita extended love and support to her “darling Munki” (Shilpa’s nickname) in difficult times. The actor’s younger sister posted an emotional note on Instagram and wrote that she will “always be with her.” Shamita wrote, “You have gone through a lot of ups and downs in your life, and one thing I know for sure is that you have emerged stronger. This too shall pass, my darling.” She also wished Shilpa success for Hungama 2, which dropped digitally on Friday. The film marks Shilpa’s return to Bollywood after 14 years. “I know you have put in a lot of effort into this one... the entire team has,” added Shamita.

The sci-fi thriller takes off

On Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan began shooting for Telugu director Nag Ashwin’s multilingual thriller at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Co-star Prabhas gave the clap for the first shot. “On Guru Purnima, it is an honour for me to clap for the guru of Indian cinema... it now begins,” he posted. Veteran South producer C Ashwini Dutt is backing the sci-fi thriller as part of his banner Vyjayanthi Movies’ golden jubilee celebrations. The film, which is being referred to as Project K, also stars Deepika Padukone. Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer have been roped in for the film.
