B-Town’s rumour mills are working overtime about Ameesha Patel and Faisal Patel’s alleged relationship after their social media banter. The son of the late Congress leader Ahmed Patel turned a year older on December 30. “Happy birthday my darling, love you… have a super awesome year,” wrote the actor. Faisal retweeted her post with a marriage proposal. “I’m formally proposing in public. Will you marry me?” he asked. Moments later, the entrepreneur deleted the post. His sister Mumtaz requested netizens “to not read too much into his deleted tweet.” She added, “Ameesha is like family. We have been friends for three generations. It was an internal joke. Please take it in good humour.” Ameesha is the granddaughter of Rajni Patel, the late Mumbai Congress leader of the ’70s. Faisal’s wife Zainab passed away in 2016 after a prolonged illness.
