Hasee Toh Phasee turns 10
A woman runs away from home, and a stranger named Nikhil (played by Sidharth Malhotra) comes to her rescue, even arranging an auto-rickshaw for her. Seven years later, Nikhil discovers that the woman from their chance encounter is Meeta (played by Parineeti Chopra), the sister of his soon-to-be wife. Despite the impending wedding, Nikhil and Meeta feel an attraction, navigating through challenges like Chinese investors, Gujarati relatives, and the inevitable heartbreak for the woman engaged to Nikhil.
Although the film, produced by Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap, achieved only moderate success at the box office, it garnered a dedicated fanbase for its unique love story and despite its somewhat awkward handling of mental health issues.
