Ever since Ananya Panday made her debut in Bollywood, the actress has been subject to criticism from multiple quarters. From facing negativity on social media to being dragged into nepotism debates, the actress has seen it all in the first few years of her career. In an interview last year, Ananya also spoke about dealing with casual sexism in the film industry.
Actresses are supposed to look a certain way in Bollywood and Ananya said that her lean figure has often invited unsolicited advice from many. "It`s almost so casual, you sometimes catch it and realise `Oh God, that was so sexist!` Mostly people`s opinions about my body, and I`m sure lot of other girls`, is sexist. When I started working, people would come up and say, `fix this and fix that. Get a boob job, change things about your face. Put on a little more weight, fill up a little`," she said on The Ranveer Show podcast.
