Karan breaks silence on reports of Janhvi replacing Alia in 'Dulhania 3'

Filmmaker Karan Johar has now reacted to reports that claimed the replacement of Alia Bhatt in the Dulhania franchise by Janhvi Kapoor. The filmmaker asked all to not conjecture before any official confirmation

Of late there have been reports of Janhvi Kapoor replacing Alia Bhatt in the popular `Dulhania` franchise by Dharma Productions. It was speculated that due to Alia`s busy schedule, Janhvi will be seen romancing Varun Dhawan in `Dulhania 3`. The first film `Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania` was released in 2014 and earned Varun and Alia the screen couple name of `Varia` among their fans.
Now, filmmaker Karan Johar has broken his silence on the reports of Janhvi replacing Alia and said that there is no official confirmation. He said that details will be shared when everything is confirmed. "Every morning I wake up to news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation… Respectfully, Karan Johar," he wrote on his Instagram stories on Friday.
