Siddharth Anand`s `Pathaan` had shattered all box office records in 2023 when it was released on January 25 last year. On the one-year anniversary of the film, Anand released his aerial action drama `Fighter` starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in the lead. The film takes us through the life of IAF officers and their fight against terrorism. Fighter was the first big film release of the year. The film with a patriotic flavour was the perfect Republic Day release and several people headed to the theatres to watch the film on day 1.
The movie `Fighter` has made a good start at the box office by collecting Rs 24.6 crore on opening day in India. While the collection is nowhere near Pathaan`s Rs 57 crore opening, it is still a decent start and is likely to pick up on Friday and over the weekend.
