To sing for Amit Tridevi sir is a dream come true moment for me. I’ve followed his worked for years and have been a fan. I was completely starstruck when I met him at his studio the first time. He knew my voice texture and quality. It felt like he was waiting for the right song to use my voice. That happened with ‘Ghani Cool Chori’. I’m thankful to Amit sir for giving me this beautiful song that’s already etched in history. It has reached millions of hearts, more than views, which are 10 million. Taapsee is a trendsetter and looks so beautiful. I follow Kausar Munir’s work and she wrote the song beautifully. Amit sir gave me the freedom to explore but guided and instructed me at the same time. He made me believe I’m the character in the film and singing the song. When I heard the song in the studio I had to control myself from dancing. The song is an ensemble of maestros, be it the way it was written, composed, shot, performed by Taapsee, even the costumes and choreography.
