Bengali actor Tota Roy Choudhury is making headlines for all the right reasons. He played the role of a Kathak dancer and Alia Bhatt`s father in Karan Johar`s recently released family entertainer, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. While the actor has done several films in the Bengali film industry, he isn`t unknown to the television audience. For fans of the popular Hindi daily soap Anupamaa, did you know Tota played Gaurav Khanna`s character Anuj in the original Bengali version, Sreemoyi?
Tota played the role of Rohit Sen opposite Indrani Haldar, who popularly essayed the titular role. He was her college love who came to her support after her husband Anindya left her to marry his girlfriend June. Sreemoyi premiered on June 10, 2019. After a successful two-and-a-half years run, it ended on December 19, 2021.
