'Dangal' actor Ritvik Sahore on creating his identity in Bollywood

Ritvik Sahore, who entered the entertainment arena at a very young age as a child artist is currently seen in Amazon miniTV’s new show ‘Jamnapaar’. In an exclusive interaction with mid-day.com, Ritivik shares how he took on a non-conventional career path while balancing his academics, creating his identity in showbiz, and more.
Ritvik made his Bollywood debut with ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ in 2012 when he was only 11 years old. He recalls how his parents sat him down to ask if he wanted to act given how he was clueless about the industry. He says, “They could have easily decided on their own, but they asked me if I wanted to do it. That’s how the audition process started. But even after that, I finished school and moved to junior college. There was a conflict between science and commerce. All of my friends were moving to science. I thought I could do science, but I also wanted to act. My father told me that I shouldn`t take up science if I wanted to act.”
