`Cirkus` opened to a single-digit collection on day one in India with Rs. 6.25 crore

Ranveer Singh-starrer `Cirkus` was released in theatres on December 23. The film directed by Rohit Shetty of `Golmaal` fame was expected to end the year on a high note. Instead, the unanimous reviews for the film have been poor. Moreover, the film also failed to attract the audience to the theatre despite a star-studded cast.
`Cirkus` opened to a single-digit collection on day one in India with Rs. 6.25 crore. It failed to gain momentum despite it being the Christmas weekend. On day 2 the film collected Rs. 6.40 crore while it collected Rs. 8.20 crore on Sunday. The total first-weekend collection of the film stands at Rs. 20.85 crores.
