We are now back at the yearly ritual of celebrating films on the shores of the French Riviera as we are just a couple of days away from the commencement of the Cannes Film Festival 2024. A festival that is a mecca for filmmakers, actors, producers, and everyone involved with the medium that sprinkles magic on the 70 mm screen. Every year the world is focused on what is happening in Cannes in those 10 days. The festival this year is from May 14 to May 25 and will have the who`s who of the film fraternity from across the world mark their attendance. But what is more prestigious is the jury that judges the movies at the festival.
Deepika Padukone made a massive buzz last year when she was on the jury for the festival and the country was suddenly made aware of what a high responsibility that is. Over the years, Indians have always had a mark at the festival but with social media, it is now quite visible to the world.
