Actor Bobby Deol, who turns 54 on January 27, is a true-blue Mumbai boy. The actor recently joined an episode of mid-day.com`s `Mumbai Meri Jaan` where he got nostalgic and shared memories of growing up in the city.
The actor recalled, "Bombay is a place that keeps calling you back. There are times when you get fed-up with the population and pollution, even then I cannot live in any other part of the word other than Mumbai. When I was growing up it used to be lesser people so we would walk to my school. It was a five minute walk and on the way we would have ganne ka ras (sugarcane juice.) Sometimes there would be someone making sev puri, bhel puri or dosas on the road and we would stop by and eat all that. It was always good fun. There was so much openness, a lot of people would play cricket on the roads and enjoy life."
