Joins campaign against human trafficking along with Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher

Anil Kapoor will participate in a global initiative set up by a media conglomerate. Titled Freedom Project, it will raise awareness about human trafficking.

International celebrities like Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Ricky Martin and Peter Gabriel are already on board.

A source says, "The media group was keen on Anil's involvement. This is their biggest projectu00a0 and they will have several collaborators joining the initiative."

A programme that will air on their flagship channel, will take a look at the problem of human trafficking and will discover possible solutions.

"Anil was a natural choice as he has been involved with the issue in India through Plan India. Though he has shot solo for now, a joint promo featuring the other celebs is expected soon."

Says Anil, "Human trafficking is as big a menace as terrorism and drugs.

Having been appointed as a brand ambassador against it, I intend to create awareness nationally and internationally with the help of my NGO, Plan India."
