Dil Chahta Hai completes 22 years
Farhan Akhtar made his debut as a filmmaker with the movie Dil Chahta Hai 22 years ago. The film, starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Preity Zinta, marked a departure from formula films, introducing a new genre of bromance and travel-based narrative that we have all come to love and enjoy. With its fresh storyline and enjoyable music, Dil Chahta Hai remains one of the most loved Hindi films of all times.
As the film completed 22 years of release, Farhan Akhtar shared a video that had behind-the-scenes footage from the film. It also included footage of the first-time director talking about his creation. He wrote, "22 years ago a Goa plan worked out and the rest is history! #dilchahtahai." Take a look:
