Shilpa Shetty is the mother of two children. While Viaan was born through natural delivery, Shilpa opted for surrogacy to welcome her second child, a baby girl named Samisha. The reason behind Shilpa`s decision to opt for surrogacy was due to her health condition.
After delivering Viaan, Shilpa Shetty always wanted to have another child, but because of antiphospholipid syndrome, the actress had multiple miscarriages. Finally, she decided to opt for surrogacy. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Shilpa once shared that she never wanted Viaan to grow up as an only child.
